you can see smoke will lying from the fire there located at 11th street. and we were told the flames came from the roof of one building and that two other homes may be threatened in the area. the fire started 30 minutes ago. and has gone from one to two alarms. stay with us as we have a crew headed to the sign right now and we will have a live report there shortly. thousands of people will gather at theaway palace for the gun show. >> last year it attracted 100,000 people and this is the first since jerry brown vetoed a bill that would have ended all gun shows at the venue. it has been more crow he verse shale following the shooting at lax, flight operations at lax are normal after friday's deadly shooting and they have included murder of an officials

that killed a pedestrian in richmond. chp said the male victim was running through traffic across the westbound lanes of 580. he was hit and killed which one car just before 10:00 p.m. it took them two and a half hours to close the scene and reopen. there was a show in oakland. as you can see, cars are doing donuts. this is around 1:00 in morning. >> people in 50 to 60 cars are out there watching and everyone at the scene said a police screws ircame by and started flashing its lights. no arrests. >> they were installing new power lines in no. >> and that is -- in novato and they did have to close down both sides of the street.

. we are following breaking news in the east bay. there you are looking at firefighters on the scene of what appears to be a large house fire in oakland. good morning and welcome to "mornings on 2". i am claudine wong. >> i am mike mibach. >> firefighters got the call about an hour ago. right now. they remain at the scene of what is now a 2-alarm house fire. allie rasmus is rough right there in the middle of the scene with the latest. allie? >> reporter: well, the battalion chief said it is under control. it as one story building the juan point it is 2-alarm fire.

you can see smoke coming from the bottom of the house. the chief said he thinks it was concentrated in the basement of the home. no he one was hurt. this house is abandoned. and has been for the last three or four years. also, a fire here three or four years as well. this is the first time it happened. the concern is that the fire would spread to the houses next door. some trees nearby and the homes are very close together. firefighters said initially. they figured no one was in the home and no one lived here any more and they were working to make sure the flames didn't spread. they used this ladder here. they have the ladder head directly offer the building for awhile. now, you can see they moved it back. there is still smoke coming from the basement. the battalion chief out here said because it is concentrated in the basement. there are concerns that it was too dangerous for the firefighters to go into the building. that's why they are using the

ladder trucks and again, the home was abandoned. and no one was injured. in fact, we were driving out here across the bay bridge heading east. you can see the flume of smoke from across the bay. we have he checked the firefighters. they have paramedics out here and no one is injured. this is a 2-alarm fire at one point that is under control. it is not fully extinguished yet. it is possible this may have been started by a squatter. someone light ago fire possibly to keep warm. but they said they won't know the answer until it is fully extinguished. >> allie rasmus, channel 2 news. here is a look at some of the other top stories we are following for you this morning. a pedestrian was hut and a pedestrian was hit. the male victim was running through traffic against the westbound lanes of 580.

he was hit by at least one car and killed just before 10:00 p.m. it took the highway patrol two and a half hours to clear the scene and open all the westbound lanes. they have now filed charges including murder against a federal officer. this is against paul ciancia. he is accused of tilling can tsa agent and he could get life in prison or be sentenced to death. tense moments, they boarded a jet blew flight from long beach and removed a passenger who is accused of making threatening comment the they won't say what they were but he showed signs of intoxication. they will approve the long negotiated contract with the trance employees and the transit unions as well as bart management. >> the new four year deal benefits both sides. it is happy about changes in work rules and has the authority to introduce new

heritage high school in brentwood is recovering after getting hurt during a football game. this is a home game against liberty high school. they decided to call an ambulance after the 14-year-old appeared disoriented. he was airlifted to children's hospital. >> they told the costa -- contra costa times that the teen was aler at the time hospital and had a good appetite. the parents of andy lopez are expected to file and lawsuit against the deputy who shot and killed their son. he fired eight shots after the teen refused to put down what turned out to be a replica of an assault rifle. this is expected to be filed tomorrow and then the family will hold a news conference. this is the first step to filing a federal lawsuit. napa police are warning pushes and children about the
